James Corden, the UK-born comedic actor and host of The Late Late Show, has officially listed his Los Angeles mansion for $22 million.

James and his wife, producer Julia Carey, reportedly offered their (almost) half-acre property to qualified buyers in October 2022; however, it has now entered the public market. The listing is currently set for more than double the approximate $10 million James paid for the home in 2017.

The New England transitional-style property, constructed in the 1990s – is one of the world's best homes in Brentwood, an upscale neighborhood on the Westside. The neighborhood is lined with prestigious homes in various architectural styles at the foot of Hollywood's hills. According to Dirt (opens in new tab), the property received an extravagant renovation from James Corden, who has a reported (opens in new tab) $70 million net worth.

Reports say that no part of the property is visible from the street due to its large gates and hedge that offers unrivaled privacy. Beyond these restrictions sits the main mansion and a separate garage, topped by a basketball hoop. In terms of decorating ideas, the eight-bathroom estate is said to be New England transitional in style – seen through its beautiful hardwood floors and fireplace in the living room.

The color ideas continue to pay homage to the coastal aesthetic – from the blue cabinets in the kitchen (alongside the marble kitchen countertops and high-end appliances) to the cozy living room with a vibrant gallery wall. A breakfast nook and separate dining room, with a crisp, neutral aesthetic, follow from the kitchen – and overlook the verdant backyard.

Beyond these assets, the home has a movie theater, library, and spacious family room – complete with French doors that lead into the gardens.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom boasts a separate sitting area, lounge, and marble fireplace before leading to the private balcony that looks onto the estate. Alongside the main bedroom is a dual master bathroom with several custom amenities – and balcony access of their own.

And, when it comes to backyard ideas, the exterior is equally as impressive. The land includes striking jasmine plantings and a pool with an inset spa and Baja shelf. There is also lots of room to bathe in Brentwood's sunshine on one of the two lawns – alongside space for al-fresco dining and a children's play area, just as James exhibits.

Dirt reports that The Agency's James Harris and David Parnes currently hold the $22 million listing.
