Chrissy Teigen is among the influential fashion forces in Los Angeles – so it's only right that her home mirrors her style.
It's no secret that the model, who shares her home with Grammy-award-winning singer John Legend, famously enlisted renowned designer Jake Arnold to decorate her Californian home and, when two design powerhouses unite, the result is unrivalled.
We've already penned a love letter to Chrissy Teigen's kitchen and her luxe bathroom (drenched in pink, no less), but the model recently shared a glimpse into a new space – her dining room – and sure enough, it lives up to our expectations.
There is much to admire about the open-plan dining space (pictured above) – from the curation of bouquets to the contemporary lighting ideas that crown the marble table. However, if we were to replicate one thing in our homes, it would have to be the warming color palette that immediately caught our attention.
Inevitably, this scheme deserves to be replicated – but where should you begin? Here, designers respond to the space in question – and share how to recreate Chrissy Teigen's dining room color ideas in your home.
1. Use blushing hues for a welcoming space

Misty Blush by Benjamin Moore (opens in new tab) is perfect for this.
'What first caught my eye in this post was the texture on Chrissy's walls seemingly growing out of her floral centerpiece. I appreciate this because it brings verticality to the space, and the subtle blush hues of those "petals" against the creamy tone of her walls immediately create a warm and romantic aura,' says Los Angeles-based designer Faith Blakeney (opens in new tab).
'This soft blush color is then complemented by the punch of her yellow dining chairs, which allows for fun and play.'
Faith Blakeney is an interior designer based in Los Angeles, California. Her eponymous studio is known for breaking conventions in favor of innovation and playfulness. She is a frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Times, among other national and international publications.
Color is extremely personal, so Faith says she would avoid using gray (seen in Chrissy Teigen's rug). 'However, the gray does create a calm atmosphere, and I can see why they went in that direction,' she says.
When curating your dining room color scheme, Faith adds that you should incorporate corals and creams to create a welcoming space that your guests can enjoy as they dine and socialize.
2. Pair soft paints with striking accent pieces

Los Angeles designer Rande Leaman (opens in new tab) emphasizes that you can recreate Chrissy's style by pairing soft or neutral hues with bold (such as the statement mustard chairs) that demand attention in the space.
'I love the color scheme Chrissy has used in her dining area. The bright yellow-gold of the dining chairs makes a beautiful color statement within the primarily white and black space,' Rande says.
We've found a nearly identical chair from Wayfair, below.
Rande Leaman is an interior designer with projects in Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, and the Westside. Her studio specializes in remodeling and home renovations – creating a timeless home that mirrors every client's personality and taste.

This dining chair is similar to Chrissy's, and it comes in a wide range of fabrics in different colors. Handcrafted with a deep cushion and fully upholstered base.
3. Crown the space with a statement fixture

Dining room lighting is the crowning glory of a well-designed space. In Chrissy's, the fixture acts, as Rande suggests, like 'jewelry in the room' – tying the color pairings together and creating a welcoming ambiance while making a statement.
'The freeform lighting fixture is the stunning jewelry in the room. This look is fairly easy to replicate in your own space by selecting dining chairs in a bold hue to complement a neutral color scheme,' Rande explains.
'I’d keep the walls white, the floors blond wood, and the accents, such as a rug in black, so the chair color really pops. Then add an organic shape to your lighting fixture, and your dining area can be as warm and inviting as this.'

This central pendant light has something of the spirit of Chrissy's dining room light. It's 58.25in high, so you'll need high ceilings, and in soft brass with white glass.
